 Let me start by saying that I've never used a Cricut product before, but I've been using gumpaste and fondant for about a year on my cakes. This is a fabulous machine. There is a learning curve, but it will work once you figure out the right consistency for your edible materials and with a bit of adjustment to the instructions. You really can cut the intricate designs, not just the basic hearts and whatnot. So don't give up!"

As a cake decorator, I love the new choices I have with this. I was a bit frustrated at first with the cuts bunching up, but after reading the brochure at Michael's Crafts about freezing your mats with the gumpaste on it before putting it in the machine for cutting, my cuts are much cleaner. I give it 4 stars because it is really good for larger cuts but smaller cuts give you some grief no matter what."

I have recently started to decorate cakes using Fondant and other things and decided to buy this to cut down on the time i spend on certain details. I used it the day after i bought it and absolutely LOVED IT!!!!!! It took me not even an hour to figure it out and print my first image perfectly. I read a lot of reviews that it was hard to use and that it didn't cut right but i didn't have any problems. LOVE IT!!!!"

I was very excited to purchase this product. I would first like to state that I am not any type of professional baker by any sorts of the word. I can follow receipes and the food turns out, but that's about it. However, this product is absolutely fantastic....Cricut Cake has become my new best baking buddy."

I've had a chance to play with this machine and I am soo excited for all the creative cakes and projects I can make with it. I've also experimented with other items such as cheddar cheese slices, ham, tortillas and cookie dough .. I am overwhelmed with the number of images I can cut from the cartriges I already own .. so much to look forward to this summer of play time!! It is so worth it .. I've paid $45 for custom cakes multiply that x 4 boys and I will have recouped my money on this machine that I will have FOREVER to decorate and make fun stuff :) Totally worth it!!" —ScrappyV
I've used it on 3 separate occasions, and I love it. Once you master the thickness of the fondant or the gum paste, your possibilities are endless! The machine is well crafted, easy to use and clean as well. I've been decorating cakes for 5 years, and I would recommend it highly. "
